Single beam bridge machine

One of the bridge construction machines, the boom is a box-shaped beam, which is suspended forward, and has a foldable column at its front end (composed of left and right legs). The machine can drive into the bridge position under no-load condition, and then straighten the front column and support it on the front pier. When the beam (or the entire beam) moves along the boom, the boom approaches the state of the simply supported beam. The beam should be transferred from the railway flatbed to the special beam truck by special gantry crane, and then the beam and bridge machine will be transported. In order to adapt to the curved bridge, the boom of the machine can swing a small amount in the horizontal plane. The method of locating the beam is the same as that used for the double cantilever bridge erecting machine (shifting beam or dial). The advantage of this machine is that the balance weight is cancelled, the locomotive push is no longer needed, the feeding beam does not need the bridge head twisting line, the mechanization degree is improved, and the safety performance is improved. This is the case for a sling bridge that weighs 130 tons.
