Girder Launching Methodology

A launching machine is a special construction machine used to lift prefabricated reinforced concrete (or prestressed concrete) beams onto bridge supports (piers). In 1953, the 65-53 type cantilever beam-erecting machine produced in China passed acceptance and was put into use at the Shanhaiguan Bridge Factory. In 1994, the JQ130 launching machine was launched, realizing the "beam moving in the air, in place at one time" construction method for the first time in China, increasing the T-beam erection efficiency by 25%. In 2018, the JQ1000 launching machine was successfully erected, marking the successful development of the 1,000-ton high-speed rail erection equipment.
